Life is like a farmer’s market , you never know what you’re gonna get. Well, I guess if you go with a plan and a list you’ll know. I had a plan. You know, buy veggies and fruit. Hey, it’s a plan. Not a fleshed out plan but a plan.

I didn’t plan on this though.

“Momma, the sun’s in my eyes, it’s too bright, hurry uuuuuuuppppppp, momma.”       Um, honey the sun is behind you.

The sucker is as big as a pummello or a smaller cantaloupe.

And heavy, ooohweeboy.

You remember my post from the school garden? The onions, they are stalking me.

Beauty and Harmony fought took over the camera, while I bagged the produce .

The Bread Gallery is a fantastic  organic bakery run by parents at our school. One year they offered to help with a fund-raiser. It was well received, not sure how much bread made it out of the parking lot and home though.

We brought home a  swell chocolate, chocolate tea cake for a treat. It’s too “chocolaty” the girls said.  I feel so bad. Not.

Soon to be Apricot Jam.

Future Plum Jam.

I may hand over the camera to Harmony and Beauty, their  pictures are pretty good.

Speaking of farms our little box  is looking garden-ish. String beans, tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini , parsley, dying strawberries. Again no plan, just plopped ’em in there. Call me Farmer Te. No pictures but the basil, mint, oregano and thyme are taking over the place.

So you know how you always wonder “Who buys those things?”

Me,  I buy them.

Hope  it hangs in there. Sorry, not.

My citrus is doing well.

yep, just one.

Darned birds.

Lemon, I think I counted 9.

Kumquats, which need to be picked and made into marmalade.

Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later.
Og Mandello

I’m a waitin’.
