Going Nowhere Fast

Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY:

Outside my window… Future Zucchini or Cucumber not sure which and a Mater.

I am thinking… Of a very special 7 year old,who I love more than she loves sewing, or American Girl Dolls or talking to her cousin on the phone……..

Happy Birthday to my niece the Sunshine Girl

I am thankful for…
my friend-girls who remind me of what it’s all about and make me laugh till I cry, or pee my pants.

From the learning rooms…practicing form drawing.

From the kitchen…well the kumquats are ready to pick and make marmalade, wonder if I have the interest or energy. Just saw a recipe for Kumquat Ginger Syrup…..on pannacotta? yogurt? pound cake? ….. Hey S. you want to can again?

I am wearing…brown shorts and blue tank. No shoes, as usual.

I am creating… Juice packet wallets with the girls, sanding the furniture that is sitting in the garage.

I am going…nowhere fast.

I am reading…nothing and its making me nuts, I need a good book.

I am hoping…That I can convince Coach to get the free furniture I saw on CL.

I am hearing… the team assemble outside to go on a training ride.

Around the house…lots of flip flops, a sewing machine on the dining-room table, and fabric scraps drifting around.

One of my favorite things…clean sheets.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Beginning to help out in the classrooms at school. Painting, arranging organizing. The furniture in the garage must….be…..done. And laundry.

One Thing a Day

Day  Fourteen through Sixteen: Order–cleaned out girls’ closets, dressers, shoes and went through clothes to help decide what they’ll need for school. Bagged stuff for Goodwill, and put it in the car. Bags  still in car, but I’ll drop it off Monday.

Day   Seventeen: Beauty :Cleaned out my closet. Same as above but no school clothes for me.

Day Eighteen: Order –Gathered all the clothing that needed buttons, or hems repaired, or darning and put them in a mending basket. Began mending one thing an evening or during down time. lol made myself laugh with the down time thing.

Day Nineteen: Beauty–I dusted the ceilings, corners and walls upstairs.  Who knew you needed to dust the ceilings? Corners yes, walls wiped down but ceilings? I need Coach’s help for down stairs and the 12 foot ceilings.
