Indolence

November 5, 2010

I should be composing a new post.

I should be sewing aprons for the Harvest Faire tomorrow.

I should be folding the Alps in the laundry room.

I should be needle felting figures for the raffle tomorrow.

I should be cleaning out the desk again? ( why is it like this?????)

I should be resuscitating the art/sewing room from its untimely demise.

I should be writing the list of to do’s.

I should be planning next week menu and grocery list.

I should be pulling my head off the desk where it fell. Help I’ve plopped down and don’t want to get up.

Our unusual weather has left the windows open for evening breezes and  instead I am sitting here listening to the coyotes howl, teenagers whisper in Order’s room, and enjoying the silence of a sleeping house.

One shouldn’t should on oneself after all.

I like the word “indolence.” It makes my laziness seem classy.  ~Bern Williams
